Chatanika Lodge is located 281/2 mile Steese Highway. Owned and operated by Ron and Shirley Franklin since 1974. There are 10 rooms with a T.V. and sink in each, and a shared bathroom and showers centerly located in the hallway. The bar and restaurant are decorated in Alaskan artifacts and is open year round, closing only Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the Tuesday after Chatanika Days Festivities in March. In the winter, you are able to see the Aurora from the lodge. In the summer, Chatanika river is only 11 miles from the lodge, where you are able to fish or camp overnight. If you are traveling in a motorhome or camper, you may camp overnight as we have lots of parking area. Throughout the year we have various activities such as New Years Party, Hawaiian Luau, Chatanika Days, Easter Egg Hunt, Motorcycle BBQ Run, Antique Car Rally, Can Can Show, Halloween Party, Thanksgiving Party, Children’s Christmas Party, Wedding receptions, and many more!!!
